How can we improve Huel? (both product and service)

Is there any way to get another scoop? Halting my subscription until (unless) this is worked out.

You can add extra scoops to your next order.

How about making 2000 calorie(average one days calorie needs for most people) Huel bags/packages for travelers, and/or working people to take with them.

I understand that it would cause a price per serving increase, but it would be more convenient for travelers and working people to use this product while traveling or working away from home.

I think that this would be a more workable solution for many people(as well as for HUEL) than a single serving bag/package that would be far too expensive to implement.

I hope that this helps.
Happy Hueling everyone.
Thomas

I am 10 weeks in on all Huel. Usually I don’t drink five a day! I feel so great and have so much energy there is nothing I could ask for in improvement. Truly it is miraculous. I wouldn’t change a thing…even the awful goddam taste HAHAHAHA no seriously. Thank you for this great product. I am elderly with a highly active outdoor job and it improves my performance on the job to drink this.

Hi! You can add scoops onto your next order via the subscription portal.

Or a fabric Huel patch. I’d place a little Huel patch on my hiking hat, or backpack. I do enjoy wearing my favorite kind of shirts, otherwise I’d wear the Huel shirts around more. I buy certain Champion shirts from Target (very thin and breathable.)
I love Huel. I want to buy it, and Huel stock (? ), and share it with others.

The website is indicating a 400 cal serving, whereas the bag I just received indicates a 500 cal serving three scoops versus two scoops.

Also, as a new client the subscription process is a little confusing. Upon placing the order it showing a dispatch date one month ahead. I now know that is for the subscription renewal, and not the initial order. You should have your web developer indicate that your initial order will ship within three days and your renewal will dispatch in four weeks or whatever frequency you have selected.

Also, I don’t know if the scoop I received with my starter pack from Amazon is the “new” scoop size based on a 2 scoop, 400 cal. serving.

Hi! You likely received version 1.0 since you ordered off Amazon hence the different serving sizes.

Thanks for the feedback on the subscription–we are always working on making that portion of the site much smoother.

any chance on getting version 1.1 or I guess that scoop will come with my subscription that is “queued” for shipment off of Huel.com

1: Huel baseball cap.
2: Include a note in the first box that recommends making single scoop shakes for the first few days to avoid digestive upset. (There are a lot of posts about new Huelers getting gas, diarrhea, etc.)

They do warn customers that they won’t get another scoop after the first order (or at least, I got the warning when I ordered my shipment in April).

Oooooh this is an interesting idea! Little huel blocks with “just add water”. I wonder if this is doable.

I’d be happy just to get a Tshirt in 3XL…

I’m sure your team spends a good deal of time thinking about this, I would have jumped on the Huel train much faster if the barrier to entry was lower. It’s just a lot to ask someone to drop nearly $70 with the promise of maybe getting half of it back if they don’t like it or it doesn’t agree with their body.

Everybody I talk to about Huel are pushed away from the idea since it’s so novel. It doesn’t conform at all to what people typically think of as healthy food. I’ve found myself becoming that annoying guy just giving away small servings to my friends coaxing them to try it.

Overwhelmingly folks are initially like “groossss” when Huel is described to them, then a few moments after their first sip you can see them realizing it’s actually pretty good!

A few ideas that you’ve probably already thought of but I enjoy typing:

  1. Sample size Huel, maybe a cup or two of Huel for $5 or $10. Make it so folks can only order it once (to reduce waste) just like the sample flavor packs.
  2. Hire a few people to drive around the country and do free tastings at public places like malls. If I had heard that Huel was rolling into my nearby mall for a day I would have made the trip without question.
  3. Throw a few sample size servings in with each order. If I had a few labeled, sealed servings I would be handing them out like hotcakes to friends and co workers. This would make it easier and safer for people who like your product to share it with others.

Expedited shipping options?

Can you get some long shaker koozie’s, to keep our Huel cold? This just doesn’t cut it for me…white koozies with Huel logo…?please and thank you

I like this idea! There are pint glass koozies that might work a little better. Taller and a little wider I think.

Awesome ! Yes but it needs to say Huel…

Stop changing it! Add new products, but leave the old. Bad business model to drop hot selling stuff! I won’t be around long if the flavors keep changing. I don’t really like the overly sweet flavor packets, the berry tastes off this time and your new vanilla is terrible. Just my .02

  1. Try to grind the flaxseed down a bit more. The first week and a half I was drinking Huel I had intense throat pain from the grittiness and couldn’t even swallow solid food without being in pain
  2. More booster flavors! I peeked over at the UK site and they’re being spoiled rotten like the baby of the family, meanwhile we’re the firstborn kid having to make do with only 8 flavors! When I was still looking into buying Huel I saw the matcha tea flavor on Instagram and got excited when the booster sample pack was included!.. Until I realized matcha tea isn’t available in the US  I can understand some of the flavors are more geared toward UK tastebuds like rhubarb and custard, and toffee, so maybe you could gear some booster flavors toward American tastebuds? For example:
  • Pumpkin pie
  • Cookies and cream
  • S’mores
  • Birthday cake
  • Root beer float
  • Fudge brownie
  • Orange creamsicle/Julius
  • Watermelon
Also! How about considering some more strongly flavored savory boosters for the U/U powder? A few suggestions for possible flavors:
  • Tomato soup
  • Rosemary chicken soup
  • Curry (this might find more of an audience in the UK, I’ll admit)
  • Chicken ramen
You could ask your web developer to place a poll on your page and ask visitors to your site to choose which flavored booster they would be most interested in trying. Ideally, I’d make it 2 polls. One sweet and one savory - with an inclusion of having the ability to submit their own idea for a flavor.
  1. I know it’s been said before - but a loyalty plan! Customers are more likely to spend more and return if they feel they’re being rewarded for their brand loyalty. The biggest “loyalty plan” you have right now is the subscription plan - which isn’t feasible for some people who, like me, are on a tight budget and buy Huel irregularly when we have the money - not on a regular basis. It negates the budget-friendly aspect of buying Huel as a meal replacement shake. It doesn’t have to be something huge, but maybe 5% off each future order with the purchase of at least 2 bags, with a cap of 15% off? At that point you’ve gotten a customer who has ordered 4 times, for an equivalent of (AT LEAST) 8 bags, and 144 meals. If they don’t like Huel after the first go-around then they won’t place a future order hence not qualify for the discount. But if someone is interested in Huel after their first initial order then the 5% off their next order will look welcoming - and provide motivation toward continuing to order Huel up until they reach the 15% cap. The discounts applied, at max (15%) on a 2 bag/$66.60 order would be $9.99 and bringing it to a total price of $56.61. I think that’s a decent trade-off for having a dedicated customer. Subscription orders are already at a discount compared to resale price by $7.20 (starting) making their total price $59.40 at minimum. If you were to apply the 15% loyalty program toward this already discounted price then they’d be getting 2 bags at $50.49, which might be a bit too much of a discount - so you could cap subscription orders at 10% on subscription orders making it 2 bags for $53.46. Subscription orders would still look more rewarding because of the comparable savings, but customers not on a subscription plan would still be rewarded for their brand loyalty. As it stands right now, someone could open a subscription order, receive their order, then immediately cancel their subscription after taking advantage of the savings.

Anyway, those are my suggestions! Granted, I’m still relatively new to Huel - but I’ve got some experience in business management :stuck_out_tongue:
