I’ve been a customer for years and will continue to be. I subscribe to the bars, the huel black protein, the Huel green, and the cups.
In my latest batch of strawberry shortcake black protein powder, I noticed a MAJOR change in flavor and texture. I’ve tried all the flavors and settled on strawberry shortcake and vanilla flavors. I’ve heard people, in general, complain about protein powders tasting chalky but I was never one to mind it too much. Surprisingly, I never felt Huel Protein was very chalky. However, this new recipe is like crushing up my grade school teacher’s box of chalk and sprinkling in a little freeze dried strawberry. Very disappointed.
I will still order it as I love the products for all other reasons, but I hated it and was so shocked that I signed up for this forum just to post this.

Hey, thanks for responding! I already finished the bag and threw it out so I don’t know the batch number. I’m glad to hear that you didn’t change it and maybe I just got a bad batch. I’ll wait till I get the next strawberry shortcake. And reply if there’s still an issue.

Ok, so I received my next order of the same black strawberry shortcake. The taste is the same as my last complaint. It’s DEFINITELY changed within the last 4 months (as I order 1 strawberry and 1 vanilla every 2 months or so). It is VERY chalky and, again, I’ve never felt any huel products were chalky at all since I started years ago. I’ve shaken the bag and that didn’t change anything.
It feels as though when mixing everything together in you Factor, maybe 1 or 2 of the “propellers” on the mixing machine broke off and isn’t really mixing everything. Maybe someone else is getting heaps of flaxseed in theirs lol
