Pause function will be removed

Got an email today… “As part of these updates, the pause function will be removed. Instead you’ll have the flexibility to skip your next order or cancel whenever necessary.”

So you’re making a change, that makes it MORE likely I’ll get another shipment I dont want if I dont remember to skip now? Can’t just Pause, I have to come back month after month to Skip? Thats not a feature, that a stupid game to get more money and piss off customers.

1st you randomly change products, now you make it more likely to bill me when I want things paused or on a break…

How do I just delete my whole Huel account? This company is playing to many bugger games and I just dont trust it any more,

Yes, the ability to pause your subscription has gone but that being said, you can still skip or cancel whenever you need to. Alongside this, the 3-day email before remains in place, making sure you are aware of a subscription order being processed days before.

We’ve had complaints about how clunky and unuser-friendly the account area is, so we are working hard to improve this to make it easier for our Hueligans to have full control over their subscription. It’s also worth mentioning that if you cancel your subscription you can reactivate this whenever you want!

If you would like your Huel account deleted, of course, we’re sorry to hear this but please reach out to support@huel.com so we can look into getting this processed for you.

It is not the same. It put the onus on the customer to remember month after month (as long as they want the subscription paused) to “skip” the month. It makes it far easier for the customer to forget to “skip” and get an order and billed.

By definition “clunky and unuser-friendly” does not equate to “remove features”. It means, move things around, reorganize to make it user friendly. Taking things away does not make it “user-friendly”, it makes it “user is dumb, let’s not give them a choice”. I work in IT and web development, I know. This choice, if done by the UI/UX team, is a cop out. If done by marketing it’s a money grab.

I’ll be emailing support today. The choices Huel has been making as a company just makes it more untrustworthy.
