Using a blender helps

Definitely using a blender (Magic Bullet is my choice) will do the trick in smoothing things out for you.

As mentioned, a blender is the way to go. A hand blender specifically is the best option because they only take a small rinse to clean and you can blend the shake directly in whatever bottle or cup you are using. I bought a KitchenAid from Walmart for 40 dollars and it’s working pretty well. They have cheaper ones on Amazon, but I have already broken one of those.
