I was a huge fun of the hot and savory yellow coconut curry and was a long time subscriber to it. It was the one flavor that I could consistently go back to and look forward to eating alongside the green curry. It had a robust flavor that had the perfect balance of ummami curry flavor and a few raisens to give it a nice balance. It wasn’t too aggressive and overbearing nor was it lacking in flavor , it was well balanced and genuinely a well constructed flavor profile.
The recent reciepe change has lead me to stop purchasing huel. The new flavor doesn’t taste good , it lacks the curry esc flavor and instead replaces it with an almost sickely sweet funk that is overbearing and consumes all other flavors present. It is the metaphorical equivlent to pouring yellow mustard over a dish where it becomes very one note and very overbearing.
Is there a way to purchase the previous formula ? I can’t see myself buying this anymore , it takes so much extra spices and sauces just to try to mask the new formula , I’m not sure why this formula was changed it was genuinely one of the best ones.
If its a question of the success of the grains section of the hot and savory line , it is likely because grains don’t give the perception of something filling and is a little more foreign than a noodle dish. I’d like the old yellow curry formula , the flavor previously was perfect. If it needs adaptations , then keep the old flavor and just add some noodles and you’re golden.
