Type II Huel users, help!

I am Type II diabetic. I was excited to learn about Huel as managing my diabetes has been hard. I have been using the 500 cal serving as dinner for the past two and a half weeks. The good news is that I do not wake up in the middle of the night needing a snack nor do I wake up in the morning absolutely starving. The bad news is that my fasting glucose levels have jumped 40-60 points in the morning. This has been consistent, too.

I was under the impression that Huel was a low GI food. Any other Type II folks out there with experience or advice?

TIA,

I think you might find some great tips on another thread, here.

Huel has a low GI of 27 and is very low in sugar. Huel is suitable for both type 1 and type 2 diabetics, but as with any dietary changes, if you’re using medication to help control your diabetes, you should contact your physician before consuming Huel and structure your intake appropriately.
