First of all, I would like to thank the Huel team for creating such a nutritious meal that is gentle on my stomach, especially as someone dealing with atrophic gastritis.
However, I have a concern regarding storage. The current Huel bags have a minor drawback where the zipper seal doesn’t always close easily. Because of this, I transfer the powder to a separate airtight container every time I open a new bag.
The problem is that it is hard to find a commercial container that offers 100% light protection. Currently, I have to wrap my containers in aluminum tape to block light and use magnets to attach silica gel packets to the lid. To be honest, this process is quite inconvenient.
Reading through the forum and Reddit, I’ve noticed many other users also transfer their Huel to separate containers. Since Huel is sensitive to both moisture and light, I believe a dedicated storage solution would be beneficial.
While continuing to sell Huel in bags to keep costs down is the right approach, could Huel consider developing and selling an official storage container? Ideally, it would be fully opaque (light-proof) from all angles, airtight, and designed with a specific slot or compartment for desiccant (silica gel) packs.
I believe offering a standardized container would be much better for quality control than having “Hueligans” find their own inconsistent solutions.
