Odd observation

Over the weekend I installed a whole-house water filter. Not a softener, just a big three-filter thing that’s supposed to neutralize toxins and remove bacteria and the like. Anyway, the first time I made my Huel using the “new” tap water, I noticed it was much thinner. More like thick water than like a milkshake (as it used to be). Even the shake I made for lunch which sat in the fridge at work for a few hours was noticeably thinner. I’m stumped for an explanation (except the disturbing one that previously my tap water was so full of minerals and sediment that it was thick in its own right).

Anyway, I just wanted to throw that out with a suggestion that maybe people who find Huel too thick should try mixing it up with bottled water once to see if that changes the consistency. I wouldn’t have believed it if it hadn’t happened to me!

Thanks for the science experiment! That’s definitely interesting and we’ll keep all of this in mind as well.
