New CyberTruck ad

Been a long time on/off daily Huel user that stopped for a bit due to lifestyle changes. (Used to break my 16hr fast with a serving of huel black).
Was just about to start back up when I saw the Huel CyberTruck advertisement and it really broke my heart. :frowning:
Ruined the integrity of the company in my opinion. I get wanting to be techy and futuristic, but that was not the company to associate yourself with. Really dropped the ball there, and I’ll be researching alternatives, and unless Huel does something to distance itself from such a horrible company i doubt I will patron them anytime soon
Doubt the brand will care much about one man’s opinion, or that they’ll even allow this post to stay up, just wanted to express my disappointment.
Thoughts, opinions? Am i over reacting??

Peace :v:

I saw it posted on social media. Didn’t know it was an official ad at the time. (The caption that went along with it was “most divorced car ever” ).

I won’t go so far as to stop using Huel. idk, would you expect every company to also cancel their twitter [sic] accounts? I do get your point, and also agree it’s not a great brand alignment, but it’s not a direct endorsement of the supervillain that owns those companies.

Yes, just like I’d expect them to avoid advertising on Truth Social or Gab. Some already have.

I’m doubly concerned by the fact that the marketing team responded to the many complaints about the ad with variations of “Oh, sorry, but it’s just marketing!”

As someone who just passed the 1000 Meal milestone for Huel, this lack of awareness of your customer base is really making me consider going somewhere else. If it were just “CyberTrucks are a dumb idea” that would be one thing, nobody would care. But when the head of the company who produces them is such a horrible, HORRIBLE person, it’s a really bad look.
