Lately I’ve been adding peanut butter. The monostaurated far helps the body absorb the minerals and vitamins in Huel.
I like to add turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties. The PB helps mask its earthy taste. But, there is an absorption issue. The active ingredient for turmeric is curcumin. When you add piperine, it helps the body absorb the curcumin. You get this from black pepper and you don’t need much.
I throw in 2 tablespoon PB. 1/2 tsp of turmeric, a tiny pinch of black pepper (you won’t notice it at this amount), and I add fresh or frozen blueberries. Its antioxidants pair nicely with the anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric. I use a blender to mix it all up.
