Quick questions….
One, after I add powder and water, do I shake the bottle with the internal “grid” still in???
Two, is it recommended to drink from my Huel bottle or should I pour into another???

We recommend shaking with ice, as this helps break up the powder, and so the main function of the ice barrier is to keep the ice contained while you’re trying to drink out of it (if you’ve ever tried to tip back a drink with too much ice in it, you’ll understand). However, many people keep the ice barrier in while shaking as they find that the grid also helps to break up the powder!
Most people drink straight out of the shaker for convenience, but you can definitely drink it out of another glass or bottle if there’s one you prefer!

I shake with the grid in. I pour a little bit of water in the bottle first, then the powder, fill with water, put the grid in, shake. A little water in first prevents clumping somewhat.
I never drink from the bottle but poor into a glass, just my preference, so I can rinse it out and place on drying rack without giving a thorough a soap n water as my mouth didn’t touch anything (I wash it weekly though anyway).
Lately I’ve been throwing it in a blender instead with a little ice.

That’s a great tip with the shaker! The powder does come out especially nice in the blender, especially if you want to add your own stuff, like fruits and nut butters.
I have just purchased my first Huel Powder, Black Edition but there is no scoop. Is this normal that no scoop is supplied?

Hey Maria! In the US, we are now including the scoop inside the bag (we used to supply them separately, inside the box, just with your first order). Have you checked the bag?

We don’t include scoops with our Huel Black Edition purchased on Amazon, which is mentioned in our product listings. Apologies for any disappointment there!
A full serving of Black Edition (90g) is approximately ¾ cup and contains 400 calories when mixed with 17oz/500ml water.
From that ratio, you can use more or less water to adjust the thickness of your Huel, or you can simply adjust the number of cups and amount of water used based on the number of calories you want in a meal.
The good news is, if you place an order directly on our website, the scoops (and a free shaker) will be included automatically!
