Best time to drink Huel

Looking to shed some weight. I workout usually 5-6 times a week. When would be the best time to take it.
I work out in the afternoon.

When you are hungry is a good time to take food.

When you are not hungry is a bad time.

You might find a balance in between extremes

Yes, it is better to think of it as a meal, rather than a supplement. It is actually food. So you can start by replacing one meal with Huel and see how that goes, then consider replacing another if you think that will work out for you. It’s not really a weight loss product…however…it can make weight loss easier because it is easy to track calories while ensuring that you get complete nutrition. Good luck!

Disclaimer: I am not a dietitian or nutritionist. This is what worked out for me. I also work out at least 6 times a week. If you have access to a nutritionist I would talk to them as they generally have the best advice and can tailor your diet to your needs. It would also help to know how much you intend to use Huel as a meal replacement.

Post-workout is the best time to ingest protein and carbs since your body is much better able to restore glycogen reserves for about 2 hours post intense exercise and the faster your body has access to protein to repair damaged muscles, the better.

Outside of the 2-hour post-workout period, unless you are on a time-restrictive diet (intermittent fasting) getting 20-30g of protein four times a day seemed to be a common theme during my research and is sustaining me pretty well through heavy cardio loads and moderate weight-lifting.

For me, I’ve have the best results eating carbs earlier in the day and after exercise. I limit carbs during and after dinner unless I am carbo-loading, had a extra-intense exercise that day, or have an extra-intense exercise the next day.

I know it’s not a simple answer, but weight loss isn’t a simple process. A lot of it is unique to your lifestyle, and how your body responds to different weight-loss regimens.

The simple answer is whatever best fits into your life and works for you. Like others have said Huel is simply food and you’ll see on the forum everyone has their way of doing things, which is great.
