I just finished sampling all the flavors in the variety pack. First off, a big thank you to Huel for putting out a bunch of new noodle flavors! Pasta/noodles has always been my favorite food, and I am delighted that I can now enjoy them in a convenient, vegan, reasonably priced, nutritionally complete, instant meal format. The other hot and savories are all right, but I like the noodles the best, and I am delighted that there are a bunch of new Asian styles to join my beloved pasta bolognese, chick’n & mushroom, and mac & cheeze flavors.
Allow me please to quickly share my opinion of the new flavors.
Korean BBQ: 5 stars! My favorite of the bunch. Delicious and well-balanced. It is as good as any Korean food I have had anywhere.
Japanese Curry: 5 stars! This one is mellow, but still very flavorful. I could easily eat this for lunch every day.
Spicy Gojuchang: 4 stars. Another fine Korean noodle release, and an excellent addition to the line-up. Spicy-hot, but still very tasty.
Szechuan Spice: 3 stars. Not bad, but not a favorite. A little too high on the scoville meter, and not flavorful enough.
Thai Noodles: 3 stars. Imo this is rather bland and does not taste especially Thai-like. It could be that Thai food is difficult to approximate because usually it is served fresh off the stove. Huel still has some work to do when it comes to Thai flavors.
OK, those are my comments. Thanks again to Huel for the new flavors. I hope that the Korean BBQ and Japanese Curry are here to stay, because I plan to make them a regular part of my diet.
Bon appetit, everyone.
