I am wondering if anyone has tried feeding a sourdough starter with huel or making sourdough bread? Any luck?
I can’t speak from personal experience, John, but i’d love to hear what you and the our other Hueligans shake up!
I’ve not made sourdough, I need more starter. But I have made regular bread with U/U. I substitute one cup U/U for 1 cup bread flour, it doesn’t seem to rise as much as regular, but it’s not flat either. Tastes like a whole grain bread.
1 1/8 cup water
3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
3 cups flour (or 2 cups flour, 1 cup U/U)
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Toss it all in the bread machine hopper, hit the GO button. 3 hours later, bread!
