I always take a probiotic. Has Huel done any research into which probiotics best digest the ingredients in Huel to provide maximum nutrition? I’d like to see them come out with a custom probiotic to complement their product.
We have done some research into probiotics, however it’s not quite as east as having a probiotic that digests the ingredients in Huel. This is because it can’t be done in the product as a powder (or much once it’s a liquid) because this will reduce shelf-life and could be a safety hazard.
Everyone has different gut microbiota which react differently to the diet we consume. Even if it’s the same diet overtime like a complete diet it appears the gut microbiome isn’t stable - which is pretty interesting: https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2019-06/cp-gmr060619.php
