I’m just curious about everyone else’s thoughts on the flavor of the black edition chocolate v1.0. I am trying my first bag and it’s not bad. There is a strange flavor that I can’t quite put my finger on. It kind of reminds me of an artificial banana flavor. I can definitely finish this bag but I think I would avoid this flavor in the future. Does anyone else notice this flavor? Could there be something wrong with my bag? The black edition vanilla v1.0 tastes just fine to me. I’m probably just being paranoid. Also, the two bags that I received were impossible to open. The tops were completely glued together and I had to use scissors and now they are no longer resealable.
I have Black Edition Vanilla and Chocolate. Both flavors are amazing. Keep trying it and after about a week see if the taste ‘changes’ to you, could be from switching from 3.0 to here if that is what you did? From the bags, I’ve had a couple that had the same issue, so I used a knife or scissors to cut close as possible to the zip lock and then I pulled the bag open without an issue. Not just you on that part

Good to know. It’s been a while since I’ve had any huel. The last flavors I had before these two were ordered in 2018 so it was v1.0 or v1.1 probably. I wouldn’t describe my black edition chocolate as a chocolate flavor, but I will finish this bag and maybe order one more in the future to see if it’s any different. It tastes like some banana flavor boost was added in or something.
I can barely eat the chocolate bag I bought. I have to add more cocoa powder, coffee, and anything to get rid of the flavor. Funnily enough, I add banana and peanut butter to make it tolerable
I’m glad to find out that I’m not the only one that tastes something unusual in the chocolate. I have no reference point to compare it to but it is definitely ewww. I added raw honey and ice in the blender and discovered colder IS better. If you drink slowly, allowing it to warm up, there’s definitely a point where that off-putting taste gets stronger as it gets warmer. Perhaps it does take some getting used to. Time will tell.
