Please make Huel available for SNAP/EBT recipients

I have seen countless threads on this topic, plenty of people pointing out that Soylent is available for SNAP/EBT recipients, all with the same customer service rep bot replying with the same automated answer that attention will be brought to those who need to see it.

At this point it is obvious that either attention is not being brought or that Huel as a company is deliberately choosing not to accept SNAP/EBT.

As both a GLP-1 medication user and amateur bodybuilder, keeping solids down can be a challenge and I want the absolute best nutrition possible for my calories.

Since this thread will meet the same fate as all the others, my suggestion to anyone wishing to be able to use SNAP/EBT is to directly contact customer service through as many forms of communication as possible, be polite, and take your desires and concerns as far up the chain of command as you can get. With enough different people contacting them directly with the same complaint, they will notice the trend and hopefully see the money they are leaving on the table by not accepting SNAP/EBT.

Hey there!

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for bringing this to our attention! I think it’s a great idea to help us estimate how many Hueligans would like to use their SNAP/EBT benefits for Huel!

To clarify, neither Huel nor Soylent can accept SNAP/EBT directly on our/their website. This is because it requires being a SNAP-authorized retailer.

Soylent is able to do this on Amazon (and some other stores) because Amazon is technically the retailer (i.e. their products are listed as “Sold by Amazon.com” whereas ours are “Sold by Huel Inc”).

To accept SNAP/EBT on our website, Huel would have to become a SNAP-authorized retailer, and to be eligible for SNAP/EBT on Amazon, Huel would have to sell wholesale to Amazon rather than as a third-party seller.

Both of these routes have their challenges and downsides, though we understand how important it is for SNAP/EPT recipients to have access to nutritious food options! I’ll pass along this feedback to see if anything can be done here.
