I like that you are changing things to improve the product (I think the pouches for 100% exact measurements every time is a good thing) but there is a big oversight in the new range.
It’s all spicy.
I get that they are more popular, but people who can tolerate spicy food have 7 options whereas those who can’t only have 3 (!!). And they are all at least 2 hotness rating as well so you have to really like spicy.
It’s frustrating as a non-spicy enjoyer, because anyone can add spice and pepper to their meals to make them spicier, but you can’t take the spicy out of meals. I now feel very limited in my options and the idea of cycling just three meals is pretty depressing.
I’m sure it’s too late at this stage, but I hope this is something you consider next time there is a change.
I’ve just read the update post again. Correction, there will be 5 spicy meals and 1 non-spicy meal. Yeah, I can’t just have one hot meal and that is it. That’s actually pretty insane as an offering. Just rename it Huel Hot and Spicy at that point. Guess I’ll have to give Jimmy Joy a try or something when my subscription to Huel runs out of the meals I can have. They don’t look as good as Huel but at least then it’s 5 flavours I can have vs 1.
Hey Chris,
Totally understand what you mean here, and I’ll pass along this feedback! I’m sorry that our options run spicy at the moment!
I don’t know if you saw this update, but the Pasta Bolognese will be coming back to the US, so that should expand your options a bit! The Chick’n & Mushroom and Yellow Coconut Curry currently are quite mild, and if you’re interested in the Pots at all, the Thai Noodles are also mild. And one small hack for making a dish less spicy, if you like, is to add some coconut milk (or another dairy/dairy alternative product)!
Thanks again for reaching out with this feedback. It’s definitely something we’ll keep in mind!
