Headline: "Lead and cadmium found in muscle-building protein powders"

I recently read this CNN article about the high content of lead and cadmium in plant-based protein powder. As a daily consumer of your company’s plant-based protein, I’m deeply concerned.

Has your protein powder been tested recently by a third party laboratory for lead and cadmium? If so, can you provide those results or any other data which might assuage my concerns?

Thank you for your time and attention.

I was concerned about this as well. Was about to make my first purchase and saw the warning pop up about it containing lead. I’d like to hear more details on the content

Huel used to post the results of their tests, not sure why they stopped.

I was curious about this too.

Our nutritionist wrote a really good article about this that I recommend checking out!

What the CNN report doesn’t mention is that all plant-based goods contain some heavy metals–this includes vegetables, grains, and protein powders. Additionally, Prop 65 warnings are extremely cautious – even a cup of spinach could require a Prop 65 warning due to its natural metal content.

We routinely test our products to ensure they meet strict safety standards in the USA and the EU, and the levels in Huel are well below the limits set by health authorities and pose no risk to consumers.

You can read more about our Food Safety Controls here and more about Huel in relation to Proposition 65 here.

I hope this is helpful!! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
